FAMILY UPDATE #2

Dear Faith Family,

Having dodged a great influx of the virus for 5 months (June through October), we finally have several people who have contracted the virus and are currently in quarantine. With that happening, we (the pastors, elders, and deacons) have decided to do the following:

1.) Cancel all meetings at church this week. (11/9 - 11/15)

  • No Soulfire or small group on Wednesday night
  • No clothing closet on Thursday
  • No 'live'/in-person worship service on Sunday

2.) Sunday Worship: the sermon will be pre-recorded on Thursday (like we did March - May) and will be available on Sunday morning.

3.) As of Tuesday, November 10th, we are still hoping to have our congregational meeting and regular service on November 22nd.  Please know that we are going to err on the side of caution. In saying that, I mean that we can push the meeting after Thanksgiving if we feel the circumstances are not right. We will let you know as soon as possible next week what the plans will be.

4.) Monday Elders/Deacons Meetings via Zoom.

The elders and deacons are not going to meet in-person on Monday night. This will be a Zoom meeting only, and Gary Markley will set that up. If you would like to be a part of the meeting, please let Gary know.

When Jim Wehner was here he spoke about responding to times of crisis in ways that are different than caring for matters over the long term. We have never had to deal with something like this before so thank you for praying and encouraging and giving wisdom.

May God's grace be evident every day,

Pastor Bob DeKlavon
