DAVE KIESTER, DEACON

Dave is a newly elected and installed deacon, beginning in January of 2020. At Faith, he's served in various capacities within the student ministry and the Sunday morning audio/visual team.

He and his wife, Mary, will celebrate 38 years of marriage this year! The Lord has richly blessed them with two children, Brian and Susan...two "children-in-law", Ale and (Pastor) Kevin...and five grandchildren. Dave and Mary attended Faith from 1982 to 1997 and returned in 2013. As a lifelong resident of Will County, Dave is no stranger to the Joliet area.

Even though Dave is in his 50s, he'll tell you that he feels (and sometimes acts) as though he's 15 at heart. He's thankful for the way God has wired him and how he's worked in his life. He was saved by God at the age of 12. Dave frequently notes that God's timing often isn't our timing, yet finds great comfort in Isaiah 46:8-11.

When he's not working as an auto mechanic, he enjoys rock climbing, shooting, watching animé, teaching weird words to his grandkids, and using his tractor.
