Thomas (Tom) Scott is an elder, small group leader, Awana leader, and Sunday School teacher.
Tom and his wife Jeanett have been married for 48 years. They have three children and 10 grandchildren. Born in Detroit, his family moved to Denver when he was 6 weeks old. He lived in the Mile-High City for 10 years, and spent the remainder of his childhood in Lockport, IL. He and Jeanett now reside in Shorewood.
The Scotts came to Faith Bible Church in 2012 after looking for a new church for almost a year. "We and my middle son's family settled on Faith Bible Church because it was spiritually sound, very welcoming, active, and we liked the pastor."
Tom is heavily involved with Community Christian School (CCS) and appreciates the opportunities and potential for FBC and CCS to work together to reach the community for Jesus.
Family is very important to Tom and Jeanett, and this is evident in the way they spend vacation time and holidays. Their most recent vacation was with their two sons, and their families, in historic Williamsburg, VA.
Tom is quick to tell you that God meets our needs, but it is often in a way you may not have expected.
His spare time is spent supporting his wife's bakery, activities with family, appreciating a job well done, and reading.
